Event Co-ordinator/ Planner
A varied role working on a variety of events from creative proposals through to managing parts of the event itself.
Working directly alongside an Event Director you will be researching, planning and organising a variety of events; producing creative proposals, administering all contracts and directives for the event.
Building close working relationships with suppliers, venues and with some clients contact.
Attending events, venue familiarisation trips and industry meetings.
Candidates
We will consider both experienced and less experienced candidates with demonstrable relevant work or internship event experience.
Basic requirements
Excellent communication skills
Excellent telephone manner
Ability to be tenacious to gain venue/supplier information and pricing
Good presentation
Excellent written English
Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Creative design skills for the formatting of event proposals
Numeracy and attention to detail
Ability to multi task and work under pressure
Preference will be shown to candidates with the following demonstrable skills and event experience:
Agency event planning and administration experience
Proven negotiation skills
Varied London venue knowledge
Understanding of the realistic application of creative ideas
Graphical presentation skills when applied to proposal documents using software such as Powerpoint, Photoshop etc.
Career Development
Dependent upon both specific event administration/management experience and developed pro-active sales and presentation skills, this role can develop into a client facing Account Management role.
Salary and Availability
Salary circa £14,000 to £20,000 p.a. dependent on skill set and experience
